Reflection

In just a few weeks, my highschool journey will end. Its finally here. The day we’ve all been anticipating. After 4 years of earsplitting alarm clocks, looming finals and exams, missing mechanical ballpens and invigorating group projects – it’s time for graduation.

Before you get caught up in the whirlwind of excitement and nervousness surrounding the big day, it’s good to take some time and reflect on the past four years of your life. Looking back before I was a grade 7 student, naive and afraid of entering the my first class a a freshmen student. Highschool life is journey with so much ups and downs. We gain friends, made some memories and fought with the struggles and hindrances towards success. Yet, I am thankful for this journey for high school teaches you a lot of things – academically, emotionally, socially and realistically. If you’re graduating in these next few months, take some time to reflect on what you’ve learned. You’d be surprised at what lessons you’ll keep coming back to in your future endeavors.

Highschool gave me so much memories and lessons that my heart, mind and soul will treasure forever.

My Dream, My Future

Resulta ng larawan para sa dreams

One of the amazing things we have been given as humans is the unquenchable desire to have dreams of a better life, and the ability to establish goals to live out those dreams.

While pursuing mt dreams, there will be many obstacles and hardships that will stand in my way. In this chaotic world, life is a battlefield it is either you choose to give up or you choose to stand up and strive for the best. But there is only one way for me to get where Im going. It is pursuing my dreams in life through hard word and determination. I know that most of the decisions I will make, in the next ten years will have a profound impact on me as a person and society as a whole.

Life is too short to not pursue your dreams. Someday your life will near its end and all you will be able to do is look backward. You can reflect with joy or regret. Those who dream, who set goals and act on them to live out their dreams, are those who live lives of joy and have a sense of peace when they near the end of their live.

Resulta ng larawan para sa 117th Highschool Day Celebration vigan city

The Ilocos Sur National Highschool Year is filled with traditional days of celebration. Through these events and activities, students are given the opportunity to create and celebrate together as a community. Many of these activities are unique to our school and are coordinated by teachers and we students.

On the second day of March, we the students of our Alma Matter celebrates the annual Highschool Day wherein students attends the parade at exactly 8:30 in the morning around Vigan City. After taking the free time after the parade, students and teachers are required to participate and perform during their field demo which is in the form of dancing while wearing our costume and their props choosen by the MAPEH teachers who taught and practiced us during their preparation. This year, the grade 8 girls and grade 8 boys won as the best performer during the field demo due to their satisfying performance under the sun. Despite of the heat of the sun, students were able to enjoy this day because it serves as a break for the upcoming final exams. This event shows that school isn't only for academic purposes but also for enjoyment and relaxation.

This event is an oppurtunity wherein students tend to develop their physical, mental and emotional aspects. This day also serves as one of the most memorable days during highschool that we student will treasure and cherish forever.

Kannawidan Festival

Photo result for the national festival 2019

Ilocos Sur is one of the most beautiful provinces located in the northern part of Luzon. It is a province rich in culture that represents the ancient Spanish and Filipino heritage. To show and share their treasures to the whole world, the locals conceived an annual festival called the "Kannawidan Festival" that highlights these cultural traditions that the Ilocanos are proud of.

Kannawidan Festival- a celebration that lasts from the last week of January up to the first week of February. This year, this annual celebration is one of the most memorable events that the Ilocanos are proud and happy of. The main highlight for me which are the stations of each division of our province that contains and displays the trademark products of each division. This event became so helpful because each one of us gained some knowledge about the products that we Ilocanos must be proud of. Additionally, some artists from diffferent TV stations had the chance to come and entertain Ilocanos. I am one of the happiest and most satisfied because this Kannawidan Festival fed my brain with knowledge and fed my heart with happiness.
Being an Ilocano is a privelage for my province is rich in culture and traditions. With the help of Kannawidan Festival, we were able to show off to the world the beauty of our beloved Ilocos Sur.

Change: Starts With Me

Resulta ng larawan para sa change starts with me

"Everyone thinks of changing the world, but no one thinks of changing himself.” — Leo Tolstoy

Each one of us tend to always dream of changing the chaotic world into a peaceful one yet, little do we know that in order for the world to gain good changes, we must always start it with ourselves.

Everyone has an opinion on what is wrong with the world, yet few will do the work to improve their own lives. The cycle always run like this, many would dream about changing yet nobody tends to start it with themselves. We must always put in our minds that if you want to change the reality start it with yourself first little by little and attend to your own personal development. I can improve the world by consciously looking around and thinking, at every opportunity, How can I help? The most powerful way one can change the world isn’t simply by doing one thing, but instead is a way of life revolving around the concept of altruism.   In doing so, little improvements will follow you.

Changing the world begins with improving who we are on the inside. We each have a unique identity and our own distinct thoughts. These thoughts often propel us to act. So, by mindfully centering our thoughts in a positive direction, we can improve our actions and thus our character. We can lead change and make our world a better place if we start with ourselves

New Year, New Me

Resulta ng larawan para sa NEW YEAR new me

People have always been really hopeful in the New Year, believing that whatever terrible things happened for the last year will remain in the past. People look at the New Year as a fresh start. That is why every year, people like us tend to make their long lists of New year resolution with the tagline, "New year, new me!"

Every first day of the year, many people jump on the resolution  and think about improving themselves, and I'll admit I'm usually the first one to do the same. I always tend to tell myself that I should start my year freshly with no negativity. For this year, firstly I would like to change how I treat myself. Love yourself. Accept yourself. Forgive yourself and be good to yourself, because without you the rest of us are without a source of many wonderful things. " This is what Leo F. Buscaglia's famous phrase that taught me how important it is to love myself more than anyone else can do. I have come to reflect and realize that I became so hard on myself. That I was able to give everything to everyone while I forgot that I have myself. This tough realization was able to hit me so hard, for I have came up with the thought that during one's darkest moment, me, myself and I will always be the one to help me.

It may be cliche to say this but new year is really a fresh start for one's self to improve and to be the better version of themselves but it will be better if everyday, we always strive to make our mistakes go right and become the better version of ourselves. Everyday is a new chance, we just have to believe, hope and have faith.

Reflection: Third Grading

Resulta ng larawan para sa information and communication technology

School helps children to develop important skills, knowledge and values that set them up for further learning and participation in their community. School helps them to make the most of life opportunities.

Our ICT or the Information and Communications Technology has started during second week of August. And during this short period of time, we were able to learn how to design our web pages using our research papers as our main content.  But as usual, the life of a student is really hard especially in terms of time management in making our requirements and activities. But with the help of our teacher who continues to guide and motivate us, I was able to survive the second grading period.

As what Napoleon Hill quoted, "Education comes from within: you get it by struggle, and effort and thought." This clearly means that in order to learn and gain new knowledge, we need to experience different struggles and we need to sacrifice our time and efforts.
